The Opportunity
We have an opening for a Journeyman Electrician in our Instrumentation and Electrical (I/E) team. This position is based in North Dakota and will report to the I/E Foreman. The primary accountability for this role is installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining electrical and automation systems utilized by our field teams. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of North Dakota electrical installation standards and OSHA safety standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented with effective time management and organizational skills. Experience with sizing wiring, transformers, and other electrical components is critical to this position. Familiarity with bids (including creating, reading, and interpreting) is essential to this role. As a member of this team, you will be the contact point for various internal and external stakeholders, so your communication and interpersonal skills should be excellent. The shift for this position is five days on, two days off.
What You Will Do
Organizing, planning, and scheduling electrical projects and service calls on well pads and facilities
Troubleshoot all electrical issues higher than 110V
Provide recommendations for upgrades, repairs, and maintenance
Problem-solve automation and control wiring issues above 110V
Managing projects to ensure completeness and timeliness
Coordinate contractors/multiple crews and ensure their adherence to our safety policies and procedures
Interpret electrical drawings and communicate effectively with the engineering team
Oversee the commissioning of sites/projects related to your department
Address code corrections
Assisting other departments when simultaneous operations are happening on one site
The Requirements
Minimum two years experience in Oil and Gas
North Dakota Journeyman’s License
Valid driver’s license
Minimum two years of electrician experience in Oil and Gas
High School Diploma required
