Job Description
AirTree is looking to add a part-time paid Marketing & Events Intern to our team!
About AirTree
Based in Sydney, we’re one of the largest and most active venture capital funds in Australia and New Zealand. If you join us, you get to work with many of the most exciting startups in our region - Canva, A Cloud Guru, Secure Code Warrior, Prospa, Brighte, Athena, Joyous - the list goes on and on! We raised our latest fund just a couple of months ago and now manage over $600m.

You’ll work closely with our community team to help deliver valuable programming and resources that empower Aussie and Kiwi startups to succeed.
What you’ll do
You’ll work on a wide variety of marketing and events projects whilst being immersed in the tech startup sector - the best sector to work in if you ask us! You’ll be assisting with:
Event organisation and logistics
Digital content creation, design and research
Digital marketing communications across email, social media and website
Other ad hoc admin tasks as required
About you
You can be from any degree background but you are passionate about empowering and building engaged communities and audiences.
You are excited about being a part of the tech startup sector and hope to work in the marketing/events/community function in the future.
You take pride in getting things done regardless of constraints, you enjoy taking care of the little details, and you’re always up for learning new things.
Any past successes organising and promoting events, building a strong community or creating digital content or campaigns are highly looked upon.
Location and flexibility
The role is based in Sydney.
AirTree is a flexible, family-friendly workplace.
Diversity and inclusion
We celebrate and value diversity and we are committed to being inclusive in the way we hire and in the way our team works together.
The first step in our application process is fully anonymous. We won’t know any identifying information about you until your answers have been selected to go to the interview round.
We also strongly encourage you to apply even if you are not sure you fit all of the criteria we’ve mentioned. All our roles involve a range of skill sets and we recognise that everyone has different strengths and experiences that can add lots of value to our team.
How to apply?
Submit your application using the instructions at the top of this page by March 15th.
From the initial submissions we’ll select a smaller group for phone/video interviews and then a set of finalists for in-person meetings. We hope to finish the process by the end of March and have you working with us as soon as possible after that.
We can’t wait to meet you!
