Job Description

Overview

PUBLIC is seeking passionate, data-driven candidates to support its long term project with Dept. Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) in delivering the Online Harms Data Transformation Programme. The Associate, Online Harms will play a central role in PUBLIC’s delivery team focused on creating a world leading programme of support that heightens collaboration and innovation amongst international Online Safety stakeholders (e.g. global content platforms, NGOs, Government enforcement agencies, and Safety Tech startups). 

Core responsibilities

Project Delivery 

  • Conducting user research with internet safety experts to elicit user needs for developers of content moderation tools

  • Assessing policy and regulatory environments for data sharing, domestically and internationally

  • Performing market and product research to identify viable technology- or innovation-based solutions to content moderation challenges

  • Engaging key public and private stakeholders to build partnerships and delivery relationships

Wider Responsibilities 

  • Contributing to the wider work of PUBLIC, including research, our accelerator programme “GovStart” and the annual GovTech Summit 

  • Conferring key project learnings into actionable insights that can support the growth of our research, ventures and investment activity
