CogCo combines insights and methodologies from the three interrelated disciplines of behavioural science, design and data science.
We draw on the latest evidence from across these disciplines, and use it to develop and test new ideas that work in practice.
All our work is done collaboratively, in partnership with the organisations we work with. This is why we call our clients our ‘partners’. Our partners are large corporations, scaling technology firms, charities and government departments.
So for example, we’ve helped:
A global pharmaceutical company to create a behavioural science unit and develop campaigns to help encourage people to get vaccinated.
Major retail banks to design and run online experiments that test which services their customers value most;
Technology companies like Wagestream, Snoop and Cogo to design and test ways to help their users save money.
Citizens Advice devise a simulated experiment to test the effect of different aspects of digital design on the choices and comprehension of customers
Engage Britain to run mass online conversations with the UK public, and UNDP to do the same in Pakistan, Bhutan and East Timor.
We do this with a team of experts, whose starting point is a deep understanding of their respective disciplines in either behavioural science, design or data science; and an ability to translate these insights into practical applications.
CogCo doubled in size to a team of 17 in 2022 and will continue to grow in 2023. So we are looking to build our capacity across our three core disciplines - behavioural science, design, and data science.
