Job Description

PURPOSE

Cricket’s ambition is to become the most inclusive sport in England & Wales and this role plays an essential part in helping us achieve this ambition. As part of the ECB’s EDI team you’ll work alongside over 60 cricket organisations to ensure robust EDI plans are in place across the game, oversee delivery from our EDI education suppliers and support the delivery our EDI Action Plan. This is a short-term role to provide additional capacity in the team prior to the 2026 season.

YOU’LL BE DOING

This is a varied role which will require effective communication and collaboration with county cricket organisations to ensure we stay aligned and work together to deliver on cricket’s ambition to become the most inclusive team sport:

  • Supporting the delivery of the ECB’s EDI education strategy.

  • Building relationships with our education suppliers to help them deliver high quality EDI training.

  • Reviewing county cricket organisations' EDI action plans and providing feedback to increase the quality and impact of their plans.

  • Providing tailored EDI support to a number of county cricket organisations.

 

YOU’LL HAVE

  • A good understanding of key EDI topics

  • Proven experience of delivering change initiatives.

  • Ability to prioritise across multiple projects and pieces of work.

  • Experience working with a variety of stakeholders, at different seniority levels, and comfortable working across the complex map of cricket organisations.

  • Good communications skills.

  • Strong organisational skills and an ability to manage upwards effectively.
