Job Description

To start ASAP

The Email Marketing Executive will work closely and collaboratively with a range of stakeholders across the organisation to effectively communicate our core messages with key audience segments. The person will manage and deliver the overall email marketing plans, supporting key organisational programmes, including regular giving, welcome journeys and Red Nose Day communication. The role focuses primarily on email, however includes some SMS activity too. 

                                                      

Key responsibilities:

  • Creating, curating, and delivering engaging email and SMS campaigns to key audience segments

  • Manage the overall email calendar

  • Working closely with the fundraising and marketing teams to identify and support their communication needs

  • Supporting on the delivery and reporting of key engagement programmes, including welcome and regular giving programmes

  • Working with teams to produce engaging content for our emails, ensuring all emails are created on-brand and in-line with best practice

  • Reporting and optimisation of all email and SMS activity

  • Primary user of our ESP (training will be provided)

  • Understanding of our data structure, in order to apply advanced segmentation to automated campaigns


Essential Competencies:

  • Previous experience in an email marketing role

  • Copywriting experience

  • Proven track record of the creation and delivery of successful CRM marketing campaigns

  • A good understanding of optimisation, and A/B testing and reporting, data segmentation

  • Experience of Google Analytics

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Experience with marketing automation

  • An understanding of data management and email segmentation strategies


Nice to have:

  • Understanding of SQL queries and HTML code
