Job Description

Job Title: PACT Project Coordinator

Salary: £27,953 (plus £3,150 London Weighting) FTE

Hours: 16 hours per week (across 3 to 4 mornings a week)

Contract: Permanent

Based: Southwark offices

Interview date: Tuesday 21st November, 45 minute slots between 10am - 4pm (in person, Camberwell or Whitechapel)

PACT is a pioneering early intervention community organising project that started in Camberwell and Walworth in 2013 to support maternal mental health and early years development. We run a variety of weekly workshops that provide a fun space for kids to play and a safe environment for parents to build a network of support and share their experiences.

PACT’s priority goals:

  • To improve parental mental health and wellbeing of families

  • Develop authentic parent leaders and experts with lived experience so that we strengthen and promote a parent-led model of working

  • Improve access to services and support for PACT families to push for better life outcomes

Main Responsibilities

The PACT Project Coordinator will provide high-quality administrative and comms support to the PACT Team.

Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, your main responsibilities will include:

Admin:

  • Support the day-to-day operation of the PACT team’s office and ensure that the physical office environment is well maintained

  • Support with activities such as e-filing, ordering equipment and developing admin systems

  • Format reports and presentations on Word and PowerPoint

  • Logistical support for events and meetings (i.e. booking meetings, refreshments, preparing documents – this can involve some physical work)

  • Process invoices

  • Maintain PACT’s database and extract information for reports

Comms:

  • First point of call for enquiries, responding to telephone calls and email enquiries about PACT and CUK and direct them to the appropriate staff member

  • Supporting the team with producing, printing and organising PACT promotional materials as needed, using basic design skills on Canva

  • Produce a regular PACT bulletin and increasing engagement

  • Support successful communication with the PACT community via text messages and WhatsApp

  • Coordinate PACT’s social media with PACT families and the team

  • Support maintenance and content production for the PACT website

  • Actively engaging volunteers and parents in PACT communications to develop their skills and aid their advocacy work

  • Work with Citizens UK’s Headquarters Comms Team and connecting with relevant organisations to develop PACT’s comms strategy, materials and create media opportunities

Experience

  • Working in admin and communications (E)

  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to juggle a wide range of competing demands and prioritise (E)

This role is part time but there is an expectation that you work during the team’s core hours, 9.30am – 2.30pm, ideally over 3 or 4 days a week. Occasionally you will be required to adjust hours to fit an event or activity (e.g. arrive early to set up for an event).

Parents are at the heart of our PACT activities and as such this is a role that could fit around family and childcare commitments. Many of our staff team are local parents who work part time.
