Job Description

Are you passionate about sport’s ability to change lives and communities, especially women?

Do you remember your favourite teacher, dance instructor, music tutor or sports coach? For so many of us, our lives were changed by these incredible people. What was it that made them so great? The chances are they made their lessons fun, had a contagious passion and were great with people. Cricket is changing and we need brilliant, energetic people like this to help us. We have a bold plan to inspire thousands of women across the country into volunteering and we are using the Cricket World Cup to make it happen. If you’re someone who is passionate about the role that women can play in inspiring kids to get active, and bringing communities together, then we want to hear from you. You don’t need any cricket experience – more important than this is an unshakable can-do attitude!

The England and Wales Cricket Board is the national governing body for all cricket in England and Wales, supporting the game at every level – from grassroots to professional.

YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Designing an impactful programme of All Stars Cricket and Dynamos activity in your city.

  • Marketing All Stars and Dynamos activity and volunteering opportunities across your city.

  • Recruiting volunteers to support activity and amplify the Dream Big Desi Women Programme.

  • Managing and delivering and/or supporting volunteers to deliver All Stars Cricket activity, with a focus on getting females involved.

  • In 2021, The Hundred is taking place across England and Wales – Using The Hundred to inspire and engage new volunteers.

  • Facilitate volunteer training and supporting further opportunities for females in and out of cricket

  • Supporting other ECB initiatives to reach new communities and audiences e.g. Volunteer Action plan

  • Working with key stakeholders to deliver activities in your city

  • Monitoring and Evaluation of volunteers and reporting on the success of the project in your city.

  • Administration tasks including but not limited to checking and recording appropriate registrations and certifications (DBS, Safe Hands, Centre specific and COVID compliance etc)

  • Support organisations access funding streams to support delivery of activity

YOU’LL HAVE

  • You’ll have bags of enthusiasm and a great attitude.

  • Experience of working with voluntary and/or faith-based groups.

  • Experience of managing sports programmes, running sessions and inspiring people to get involved.

  • Lots of energy as the role will involve weekend work and summer work.

  • We’ll support you to gain an enhanced DBS disclosure – this means you are able to work with children.
