Job Description
PURPOSE
Do you want to play a key role in supporting the development of our circa 5,000 community clubs and circa 400 leagues?
The purpose of this role is to manage the continued development of our network of recreational clubs and leagues, implementing projects, education, and initiatives that inspire and empower. You will have operational responsibility for the delivery of our Thriving Clubs, Connected Communities strategy, managing our Network Continuing Professional Development offer, and identifying opportunities to support clubs and leagues in fulfilling our ambition to become the most inclusive team sport.

YOU’LL BE DOING
Taking operational responsibility for the delivery of our Thriving Clubs, Connected Communities strategy, aiming to create a network of thriving recreational cricket clubs that provide an inclusive and compelling participation offer to engage their local community.
Lead on the continued development and implementation of our Club Development Framework; managing and implementing projects, creating tools and building resources to support and empower clubs to grow, develop, and plan for the future.
Manage the day-to-day relationship with ECB Accredited Premier Leagues, providing required support and identifying future opportunities.
Develop our league engagement strategy to support the delivery of inclusive playing offers and encourage closer relationships between ECB, Cricket Boards, and recreational leagues.
Identify and execute appropriate education and development opportunities to support professional staff that work directly with clubs and leagues.
Harness existing expertise within the recreational cricket network, work with partners, and industry experts to develop appropriate resources and opportunities for clubs and leagues in relation to their development.
Support the development of ECB’s digital platforms to provide a high-quality experience and simplify administrative processes associated with club and league development.
Work collaboratively across ECB, and the county cricket network to embed club and league development into programmes and services, ensuring effective integration and alignment.
Line management responsibility for the Clubs and Leagues Executive role.
YOU’LL HAVE
A contagious passion for cricket or recreational sport and a strong desire to add real value to recreational clubs and leagues.
A deep understanding of the recreational cricket network and the challenges and opportunities that exist in the recreational game across England and Wales.
Experience of working with volunteers and voluntary organisations.
Excellent organisational skills, with experience in end-to-end project management and proven track record of delivering results.
Ability to inform and influence various partners from club officials to senior executives, to ensure engagement with our club and league development affiliation and accreditation offer.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to listen, understand and act on information accordingly.
