Job Description

PURPOSE

This role is an essential member of the ECB Finance Department, operating as the financial lead for some of our key major events and projects. You will take responsibility for the P&L, controls, risks and stakeholder relationships for The Hundred, as well as operating as a key part of the ICC events team, with responsibility for budgeting, financial management, reporting and audit requirements.

YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Financial Management of event P&L and preparation of the consolidated Hundred Group (8 subsidiaries) monthly management accounts and variance analysis to be reported to the 8 host venue Boards and the ECB Financial Controller.

  • Preparation of Special Purpose consolidated Hundred Group accounts and 8 TeamCo Statutory accounts.

  • Preparation and delivery of Board information for 8 stakeholder Boards.

  • Monitoring and seeking improvements of Hundred Group Company policies, financial systems, and financial controls to ensure alignment with best practice.

  •  Monthly and post competition ticket reconciliations for The Hundred.

  • Liaising with host venues to prepare and agree all financial budgets, forecast updates and post tournament audits.

  • Business Partnering role with The Hundred department providing financial support and analysis to allow accurate and timely decision making and support on the business planning process.

  •  Financial lead for the ICC WTC Final 2025, including budgeting, tax support, stakeholder management and support, reporting requirements and audit.

  • Supporting on the budgeting and planning for the ICC Women’s World Cup 2026, supporting the planning and operational teams and liaising with ICC on all related finance matters.

  • Sustainability lead for ECB Finance, supporting on all statutory reporting requirements, managing data requests and analysis relating to sustainability reporting and representing the Finance department on the ECB Sustainability working group.

  • Line manager for Assistant Accountant, who supports on The Hundred accounting, ICC Europe and ICC Global Events accounting, and provides travel & expense support for the business.

  • Ad Hoc projects as required to support financial reporting requirements of internal and external stakeholders.

Although not a comprehensive list this will form the majority of the responsibilities with additional ad hoc financial elements being required from time to time.

YOU’LL HAVE

  • Accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).

  • Experience in stakeholder management.

  • Detailed knowledge and capability of working with MS Excel

  •  Knowledge of accounting software and packages (NetSuite and Concur preferred)

  •  A high level of analytical skills.

  •  Excellent and demonstrable administrative and organisational skills.

  • Excellent people skills to communicate effectively with people at all levels.

  • Demonstrable experience in roles requiring execution of multiple tasks while responding to multiple priorities under pressure with absolute attention to detail.
