Job Description

PURPOSE 

To partner with the business to ensure smooth, fair and consistent running of people processes and practices, particularly in relation to EDI that align with our people an Inspiring Generations strategy. 

Coach, mentor, upskill and support leaders on best practice approaches to leadership, people management, development and coaching.

YOU’LL BE DOING 

This is not an exhaustive list or full job description which may change depending on the role e.g. a Network facing HR Business Partner vs a Business Partner supporting The Hundred. We anticipate all roles will involve:

  • Providing a professional, approachable HR business partnering service to all areas of the ECB and network across a number of different locations 

  • Business Partnering with managers and leaders on the implementation and activation of the EDI Action Plan with particular focus on recruitment, training, people management, empowerment, leadership and objective setting

  • Developing relationships with managers and leaders to align people strategy with overall business objectives, acting as a business partner and taking co-ownership for people strategies in those areas 

  • Overseeing the full employee life cycle coaching managers to guide them through people planning, resourcing, development and structures to support their plans and day to day operations. 

  • Liaison between managers and leaders and the People Team regarding people processes and payroll. 

  • Providing support to managers with recruitment ensuring ECB’s Recruitment & Promotion pledge principles are adopted and embedded in our inclusive hiring processes and decision making . 

  • Promoting the company values across all areas of your work acting as a cultural ambassador for making the values work for all employees throughout the business 

  • Managing change processes in line with the senior management teams, anticipating and identifying risks and mitigating for potential employee relations issues.  

  • Providing advice on complex problems, utilising your knowledge and understanding of employment law and policy whilst being cognisant of how policies should be applied. 

  • Managing the headcount and signoff process including collating all signoff requests and submissions for the headcount approval process  

  • Working to deliver projects aligned with specific People Team objectives 

YOU’LL HAVE 

  • A CIPD qualification and extensive HR experience gained in complex organisations with multiple stakeholders.  

  • Proven experience of delivering strategic priorities within defined timelines. 

  • The ability to challenge and influence others, including more senior colleagues and stakeholders, to ensure organisational priorities are achieved.  

  • The ability to apply judgement, creativity, and flexibility to generate new and innovative ideas. 

  • Expert knowledge of current trends in HR, and evidence of continuing professional development. 

  • Experience of managing end to end operational case load  

  • Ability to build credible, effective working relationships across all levels 

  • Strong planning and project management skills
