Introduction to the role

We are looking for an experienced Software Developer to join our Growth and Analytics team, playing a critical role in the implementation of a new project in the ever-changing e-book industry and the ultra-competitive UK market. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to use and develop their coding skills while learning about technology, marketing and strategy in a young, innovative and dynamic environment with big players such as Amazon, Google or Apple.

Main Responsibilities

  • Design, implement and maintain digital tools using Python and API's.

  • Define and develop software products that help the business add incremental growth in a repeatable and automated manner.

  • Collaborate with the technology team, managing data requirements with the developers as well as securing and maintaining data resources.

  • Communicate with various stakeholders and work closely with the Data Science team, marketing and sales, editorial and local/ global technology teams.

  • Develop an in-depth understanding of the market.

 

Person Specification

Experience

  • Proficient in Python, SQL and data storage, following coding best practices

  • Experience working with APIs.

  • Appropriately documenting project work.

  • Experience in a high-volume data environment.

  • Experience with Linux.

  • DAX and PowerBI experience and knowledge will be considered an advantage
