Job Description
Join Us for a Publishing Open Day at the HarperCollins London Head Office.
Whether you have recently finished education, are a career changer, or simply eager to learn more about a career in publishing, our HarperCollins Publishing Open Day is the perfect opportunity to dive into the industry.
At HarperCollins, we are always looking for new ideas and to hear from diverse voices, just like those featured in the books we publish. We encourage individuals from lower socio-economic backgrounds or ethnic minority communities to express their interest.
What to Expect on the day:
The day will start at 9.30am and finish at 1pm.
This is an interactive and engaging event designed to give you an inside look at the publishing world, answer your questions, and inspire the next steps in your career.
Meet the experts– Hear from a panel of employees from marketing, sales, design, editorial and more on how they got into publishing, what a typical day looks like as well as providing practical advice. There will also be time for you to ask us any questions you may have.Hands-on workstations – Experience real-life publishing tasks and get a taste of what it’s like to work at HarperCollins.Networking – A chance to introduce yourself, share your passion, and connect with HarperCollins employees and each other whilst enjoying light refreshments.
Eligibility Criteria:
Over 18
Pre-existing right to work in the UK for at least 18 months
You don’t need a degree
No prior experience working in the Publishing Industry
On the day, we will randomly invite individuals based on their interests, availability, and eligibility. Due to high demand, we may not be able to offer a spot to everyone.
