Job Description

To lead the management and development of the electronic athlete management database ‘Cricket Squad’

YOU’LL BE DOING

  • To manage the relationship between the ECB and The Sports Office or future partners,  regarding the performance and medical records database ‘Cricket Squad’ including agreeing deliverables and timescales for any developments.  

  • To liaise closely with relevant ECB stakeholders on future developments of the database to identify key needs.  

  • To establish and implement a process for the day-to-day administrative support of the system to ensure excellent, responsive support for users and administrators including staff supporting ECB activities and squads, domestic teams and The Hundred squads.

  • To work closely with relevant ECB teams, including administrators, the legal team and registration team, to ensure robust data protection and medico-legal processes are in place.

  • To provide authorised individuals with reports and data sets as requested to support clinical activities, governance, audit and research.

 

YOU’LL HAVE

Essential

  • Experience managing a project including contracts, agreed ensuring deliverables and timelines are met

  • Strong collaboration and communication skills

  • Experience working with databases/database management

  • High level proficiency in appropriate IT skills incuding Microsoft office and database / relevant software

  • Ability to support training / education for database users

  • A track record of being able to put a structure in place and establish clear communication channels

 

Desirable

  • Familiarity with science and medicine information / data

  • Familiarity with data governance including consent and confidentiality

  • Familiarity with research / epidemiology

  • Undergraduate degree or higher and/ or equivalent experience  in mathematics, data or performance analysis, IT, sports science or other affiliated degrees.
