PURPOSE
The successful candidate for this role will provide legal support to the organisation with a particular focus on regulatory and contentious matters. The role will work across a number of areas to ensure that the ECB meets the highest regulatory standards and is protected from litigation.

YOU’LL LOVE THIS JOB IF

You have excellent legal skills and practical judgment with strong problem-solving skills.

YOU’LL BE DOING
Providing excellent legal advice to the ECB on all regulatory and contentious matters.
Drafting and advising on ECB rules and regulations across a wide range of areas.
Managing disputes and litigation as required.
Providing corporate governance advice to the ECB.
Ensuring relevant policies are up to date and adhered to.
Effectively assessing and managing risks to the ECB.
Providing instructions to external counsel where appropriate.
Please note that this role is office based and requires you to be in the office a minimum of three days per week.
YOU’LL HAVE
The right to work in the UK.
Qualified as a solicitor with substantial knowledge of English law (and the authorisation to work as a solicitor in England and Wales). (essential)
Experience working with regulations and regulated environments.
The ability to provide robust legal advice in a practical manner.
Excellent interpersonal skills and be a team player.
The ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Excellent planning and time management skills.
Experience of Sports Law (desirable).
Basic DBS check.
