Job Description
PURPOSE
The ECB digital team run several websites, apps, email membership programmes and over 50 social media channels, across a wide variety of teams, brands and consumer touchpoints to an audience of over ten million cricket fans globally.
We’re opening up this exciting role to enhance our England Teams content, delivering high quality content to enhance all ECB digital channels and to grow our audience and reach. Working closely with the rest of the Content team and in particular the England Men’s players and management, this role will be a vital part of our ambition to grow the game.

YOU’LL BE DOING
Playing a leading role on the ECB’s digital coverage of the England Men’s team in particular, producing powerful and engaging content which reflects the team across our platforms.
Publishing content on the ECB website and App and England Cricket social media accounts, owning the tone of voice and engaging with target audiences.
Ensuring the execution and assisting with the forward planning of our digital content calendar to maintain our always-on content approach.
Covering England Men’s matches and training sessions as an embedded role within the team at home and abroad, with potential to also work with the England Women.
Working closely with digital content editors, digital content manager, video production manager, digital audience manager and agencies to ensure best in class output.
Using data and analytics to continually improve the ECB’s content output.
Supporting and scheduling other production requirements across ECB’s digital channels to support internal requests and editorial, social and video plans.
Using your attention to detail, organisational and communication skills to build strong relationships with the England Men’s players and management as well as internal stakeholders.
YOU’LL HAVE
A passion for digital content production and cricket.
Demonstrable experience in digital content, ideally in sport entertainment.
Experience in using content management systems, publishing to social media accounts with large following and using analytics to measure and refine output.
Confidence building trust with players and team management in an elite sporting environment.
An understanding that you will work unsociable hours, spending much of your time away from home, travelling with the team and staying in hotels.
A mobile first content approach.
Creative ideas on how to grow the profile of the England teams and players and reach our target audiences.
Confidence with written editorial, social copy, photoshop and video filming and editing.
Proven ability to work with maturity, efficiency, flexibility and good humour.
