PURPOSE
The successful candidate for this role will be responsible for providing legal support to the ECB on commercial and non-contentious matters. The role will work across the ECB, providing legal advice on a variety of matters such as contracts, data protection and intellectual property, to ensure that the ECB is protected from legal and reputational risks.

YOU’LL LOVE THIS JOB IF

YOU’LL BE DOING
Providing excellent legal advice to the ECB on all commercial and non-contentious matters.
Working on, advising on and overseeing ECB commercial contracts, including sponsorship agreements, staging agreements, player agreements, funding agreements, licensing agreements, technology agreements, and other agreements with stakeholders and suppliers.
Advising on commercial matters connected to ECB competitions such as The Hundred.
Advising on data protection matters and intellectual property.
Effectively assessing and managing legal and reputational risks to the ECB.
Providing instructions to external counsel where appropriate.
Please note that this role is office based and requires you to be in the office a minimum of three days per week.
YOU’LL HAVE
The right to work in the UK.
At least 8 years' post-qualification experience working as a solicitor in private practice and/or in house (and the authorisation to work as a solicitor in England and Wales).
Experience advising on a variety of commercial and non-contentious matters, and excellent technical legal skills, contract drafting and negotiating skills.
High degree of professional ethics and integrity.
Sound judgement and ability to analyse situations and disseminate advice in a clear, practical and concise manner.
Demonstrable ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and make sound judgements under tight deadlines.
Ability to cope with pressurised situations and be credible to internal and external stakeholders.
Excellent planning and time management skills.
