Job Description

PURPOSE

To work as part of the ECB ADU team to support First Class Counties, County Boards and National County Cricket Clubs to effectively manage cases of discrimination.

YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Support First Class Counties, County Boards and National County Cricket Clubs to effectively manage cases of discrimination

  • Understand and support the Cricket networks responsibilities as set out in the County Partnership Agreement and Anti-discrimination code (ADC) and help them move towards best practice in responding and managing cases of discrimination. 

  • Strategic liaison with Board Equality Leads and Lead Officers to ensure consistent standards across the County network. 

  • Liaise with third party resources to provide highest standards of customer service to those reporting discrimination and those managing the process.

  • Provide guidance, advice and training to the network and cricket partners. 

  • Provide feedback on performance and progress on agreed action plans as part of the County Partnership Agreement and reviews of cases of discrimination

  • Identify and respond to potential gaps in discipline and discrimination processes that could be a risk to the intended target, to become the most inclusive sport.  

  • Develop policies and guidance to mitigate risk 

  • Build relationships with Leagues and support them on management of discrimination cases

  • Support development and implementation of digital solutions to ensure ECB has a game wide view of discrimination

  • Be a point of contact for discrimination advice for internal and external partners  

  • Promote consistent and clear messaging around ADU 

  • Participate in planning and delivery of annual recreational game conference 

  • Contribute towards the implementation of new processes and guidance to upskill the games response to discrimination

  • Support any additional areas of work across the discipline and discrimination teams, as requested by your line manager.

  • Experience of providing excellent customer service

  • Knowledge of the Equality Act and managing cases of discrimination

  • A desire to drive out all forms of discrimination in Cricket
