Job Description
PURPOSE
We’re recruiting this exciting role to oversee the next phase of our efforts to engage ethnically diverse communities in cricket, focussing on South Asian and Black communities. The role will lead the design of a plan to better engage diverse communities in recreational cricket bringing together, schools, clubs, volunteers and participants.
Central to the success of the role will be managing out cities programme that works across England in key cities to develop cricket opportunities for those in urban areas.
Our work is delivered by multiple partners from local cricket boards to national partners including ACE, Chance to Shine and MCCF. This role will work across these groups to support best practice and improve collaboration.

YOU’LL BE DOING
Leading the design of a new plan for engaging ethnically diverse communities in cricket, focussed on South Asian and Black communities.
Supporting the ECB central teams to ensure that all national initiatives are designed and implemented in a way that maximises cricket’s opportunities with diverse communities.
Working with cities to develop and deliver individual citywide plans that bring together cricket stakeholders and activity.
Understanding the different opportunities and challenges across England and Wales – particularly in urban areas, to support the delivery of Inspiring Generations in diverse communities.
YOU’LL HAVE
Excellent communication skills and have experience driving collaboration across multiple stakeholder groups.
Instinctive leadership skills with a proven track record of influencing and managing people with and without reporting lines.
An adaptable working style with high quality emotional intelligence.
An excellent understanding of the needs of diverse communities and how cricket can have an increased relevance.
An understanding of the cricket network and challenges the game faces across different areas of England and Wales.
Good listening skills complimented by the ability to have difficult conversations.
A contagious passion for cricket or recreational sport.
