Job Description
PURPOSE
It’s an incredibly exciting year to work in cricket and this Event Manager role will offer the individual the opportunity to work within the Events Team who are at the forefront of cricket delivery in England and Wales. The role will support the operational planning for The Hundred and deliver across a number of formats including men’s and women’s international cricket, televised domestic cricket, the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 and The Hundred helping to create a world-class experience for media, players, and fans across all our venues.
The successful candidate will require strong planning skills and a good eye for detail, with the ability to build relationships and problem solve under pressure. They will be required to work closely with a range of internal and external stakeholders to deliver the highest possible standards in venue collaboration and operations.

YOU’LL BE DOING
Coordinate and deliver operational plans for multiple stakeholders and departments, ensuring a professional and high-performance environment is delivered across all touchpoints for major match cricket.
Plan and deliver different formats of cricket across several venues as venue & match manager.
Work in collaboration with other departments across ECB to ensure that fan experience (in stadia and broadcast) and player experience is maximised across your venues.
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with your venues, ECB departments, International and domestic teams, suppliers, stakeholders and service providers.
Present and lead planning meetings with venue teams and other stakeholders, acting as a primary point of contact for day-to-day operational delivery.
Contribute to the identification and monitoring of risks across operational areas including supporting compliance with health and safety regulations, policies, and operational procedures.
Run post-match debriefs with your operational area and with your venues, gathering lessons learned and identifying improvements for future events.
Please note that this role is office based and requires you to be in the office a minimum of three days per week.
YOU’LL HAVE
The right to work in the UK
Experience supporting the planning and operational delivery of events and matches in sport.
A good understanding of venue management and operational implementation
Proven ability to coordinate multiple work streams, deliver under pressure, problem solve and meet tight deadlines.
Strong planning, coordination, and administrative skills with good attention to detail.
Good communication, negotiation and conflict resolution skills alongside an ability to build strong relationships.
Knowledge of compliance, health & safety, and risk protocols in live event environments.
A proven ability to work with efficiency, flexibility, and good humour; understanding the ever-changing events environment which will include unsociable hours and working weekends.
