Job Description
This role provides a fantastic opportunity to work within a high performing Science and Medicine team to provide world class Physiotherapy support to England Women’s Cricket team.
This pivotal role will be responsible for ensuring England Women’s contracted players are ready to perform and inspire a generation through the cricket they play.

YOU’LL BE DOING
Delivering high quality Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation support to England contracted players.
Working within the England Women’s Performance team to contribute to and deliver player development plans in line with the overall performance strategy.
Lead Physiotherapy support to England Women’s Team during both winter and summer tours, in conjunction with touring Doctors. The touring commitments will vary each year and in some cases tour cover may be shared with the Pathway Physiotherapist. As a principle, staff will be encouraged to, on occasions, cross cover each other for the purposes of gaining experience working across other aspects of the pathway (e.g. with the Women’s Academy) and to manage time spent overseas.
Collaborating with the England Women’s Team Doctor, Strength and Conditioning Coach and other MDT members, to ensure injury prevention and rehabilitation programmes are designed and delivered as effectively as possible
Supporting the Head of England Women’s Science and Medicine to manage and support players whilst competing overseas in franchise competitions such as the WBBL.
To contribute to wellbeing meetings and support any strategies that are place to support players whilst in the environment.
To supervise/line manage other physiotherapy/soft tissue practitioners.
You will support the Head of England Women’s Science and Medicine in adopting a collaborative network with the Women’s Elite Domestic Structure, including ensuring effective communication of player injury information for players moving between environments.
Working within the England Women’s Science and Medicine team to contribute to wider projects, CPD events and activities that will strengthen our domestic system and promote excellence in Science and Medicine practice within cricket.
YOU’LL HAVE
Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists (CSP)
Undergraduate degree in Physiotherapy, preferably a Post-Graduate degree
Extensive experience of working in elite level sport including the provision of physiotherapy services to national or professional teams
Current Advanced Trauma Management and Emergency Care accreditation
High standards of personal and professional integrity
High levels enthusiasm and resilience
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Previous cricket experience preferable but not essential
