Job Description

Our publishing for schools continues to deliver up-to-date and engaging student resources and exceptional teacher support to help schools tackle new initiatives and utilise the latest technology. We produce resources for UK and International curricula to support teachers and pupils at school and outside the classroom environment.

Purpose of the Role

In this role, you will support the Product Development team by taking on a wide variety of admin and editorial tasks as required, ensuring the team is always fully up to date with the status of tasks taken on. The team works across primary, secondary and international educational publishing lists, in both print and digital, allowing you to gain insight of the publishing process through different mediums and across different markets.

Tasks will come to you from a variety of sources and you will be expected to manage your own workload (with support from your line manager). Therefore, it is key to have clear communication and organisation skills as well as the ability to think clearly and work well in response to varied schedules.

Responsibilities

  • Product Development:

  • General administrative and editorial tasks involved with set up and management of projects

  • Proofreading and collating proof comments

  • Checking proof stages in print and digital products

  • Maintaining image records and conducting picture research

  • Editorial administrative support for ongoing product management

  • Assisting with permissions requests and record keeping
