Job Description

Purpose of the post

This role will have a particular focus on managing the HDRUK contribution to our partnership with the EPSRC Digital Health Hubs in the South West (LEAP) and the North West (NortHfutures) which aim to drive innovation in digital health by promoting knowledge and skills sharing across healthcare, academia and business but there will be opportunities and a requirement to contribute to the wider training offer and strategy.

For further information about the Hubs, see:

LEAP: https://www.bristol.ac.uk/engineering/research/digital-health/research/leap/

NortHfutures: https://northfutures.org/

You would also be expected to contribute to the wider portfolio of activities in the HDR UK Capacity Building Team which includes:

  • Expert-led bite-sized video-based CPD training courses via the Health Data Research Futures virtual learning platform

  • Workshops, webinars and seminars

  • Academic and summer schools

  • Internships – including the Black Internship Programme

  • MSc-equivalent apprenticeships

  • Online courses in areas from longevity medicine to data analysis

  • MSc scholarships

  • PhD programme

  • Research fellowships

Since its inception in 2020 the Capacity Building team has built a busy training provision and is ready to move into an exciting new phase of growth and acceleration. As part of a small but fast-paced team, this role is an exciting opportunity to take responsibility for the delivery and monitoring of the innovative learning experiences that make up HDR UK’s training programme.
