Job Description

The Marketing Executive is responsible for the planning and delivery of 360 degree marketing plans, executing consumer and retail strategies for selected Farshore books, maximising consumer awareness and sales.  The role will also assist with the development of our website and social channel content and requires a strong multi-tasker who can deliver outstanding planning and organisational skills. A collaborative team player with exceptional project and time management.

The Marketing Executive will maintain Farshore’s best in class Marketing on and offline reporting to the Head of Marketing.  The role is key across the books portfolio, so this role will take responsibility for campaigns across fiction, picture books, non fiction and brands title, working closely with other members of the Marketing and PR team, Editorial and Sales.

Key Accountabilities

  • Deliver commercially focused and strategic marketing campaign plans

  • Assist with briefing of media activity both in-house and to external agencies. 

  • Manage the development of digital and printed marketing materials

  • Assist with the management of Farshore’s social media platforms and websites, including creating and implementing creative content regularly’

  • Liaise with authors, illustrators, licensors and Senior Designer to produce compelling digital content such as Gifs, videos, graphics and blog posts. 

  • Develop paid and organic influencer marketing campaigns

  • Assist with the management of assets on the Farshore Amazon Store. 

  • Assist with the production sales materials for selected titles; design, artwork, print and distribution. 

  • Plan campaigns, with contingencies, in order to ensure they are delivered to budget. 

  • To maximise consumer awareness and sales

Experience and Skills

  • Knowledge or experience of a marketing role

  • Keen interest and passion for children's books and the Farshore brand

  • Knowledge or keen interest in the publishing industry

  • Solid knowledge of social media and digital platforms

  • Commercial acumen

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Understanding of the consumer journey
