Job Description

The purpose of this role is to lead the implementation and growth of current ECB National Programmes – All Stars Cricket, Dynamos Cricket. The Head of National Programmes works closely with commercial and broadcast partners, as well as across the broader ECB – particularly The Hundred team, to ensure more children from diverse and deprived backgrounds participate in cricket.

 YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Strategic lead for all national programmes within the ECB portfolio.

  • You will work closely with Sky and BBC to create and implement world-class initiatives/programmes linked to The Hundred to specifically inspire young people to play cricket

  • Leveraging ECB National Programmes to deliver the recreational cricket action plan

  • Working collaboratively across ECB, liaising with our broadcast partners, Sport England, and the county cricket network to deliver national plans that have significant impact within local cricket communities.

  • Leading and mentoring a dynamic team to deliver co-ordinated and exciting initiatives that substantially and sustainably grow recreational cricket

  • Managing a complex budget to ensure on-budget delivery of all national programmes.

YOU’LL HAVE

  •  Outstanding leadership qualities with the ability to co-ordinate complex stakeholder groups together behind a common goal. 

  • Experience implementing successful change-management and high-profile initiatives through exceptional project management skills. 

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with a demonstrated ability to influence and manage people without reporting lines.  

  • Experience working with major commercial and/or broadcast partners to deliver recreational and/or social outcomes 

  • Knowledge and experience in sport is preferable, but not mandatory

  • Experience and the ability to manage budgets.
