Job Description
Please note this is a hybrid role based on the successful candidate working at least two days a week in our London office. Remote contracts would not be considered for this role.
Purpose of job:
The Finance Officer will ensure suppliers, grantees and staff expenses are paid accurately and in a timely manner, whilst also ensuring accurate and timely sales invoices are raised. They will also assist with work across the finance team as required if time permits.
Interviews are expected to take place on the 30/11/2023 & 1/12/2023.
Key responsibilities:
Ensure bank entries for income and expenditure are posted to system
Reconcile bank accounts
Assist in preparation of the payment runs ensuring all information is complete and accurate
Ensure sales invoices are raised accurately
Manage debtors/creditors and liaise with suppliers and budget holders to obtain missing invoices/credit notes and deal with queries
Request approval for donation refunds
Ensure customer and supplier queries are resolved in a timely manner
Set up new suppliers and customers and maintain address, contact and bank details
Contribute to month end and year-end audit process
Assist with work across the finance team as required
Person specification
Essential criteria
Part qualified or desire to work towards an accounting qualification such as AAT/CCA or qualified by experience
Experience of using finance systems
IT literacy – to be able to credit and edit documents and spreadsheets, use email and outlook calendar effectively
Good communication skills – for dealing with customers, suppliers and staff members
High degree of accuracy and numeracy
