Job Description
Purpose of the post
HDR UK requires the services of an experienced Front End Software Developer to work on a pioneering project for Researcher Passporting and verification in partnership with many organisations across the UK. The successful candidate will be expected to work within the Gateway agile software development team, providing development leadership and hands on implementation of key functionality and new concepts, primarily focused on the front-end aspects of the product. SPeeDI-AS (Safe People Digital Identity Attribute Service) is a new standard being developed with data providers, to significantly reduce the time to access data after request, by providing all relevant researcher information at the start and allowing a truly informed decision to be made.
Working alongside our partners, we’ll be developing a common model standard that outlines the foundational criteria of proving researchers are ‘Safe People’, and developing a system that allows researchers to create a Passport for themselves or their organisation that builds an immutable history of their work and experience. Combined with existing authentication methods, institutes would issue encrypted claims to grant access, ensuring the entire process is seamless.
