Job Description

Please note this is a hybrid role based on the successful candidate working at least two days a week in our London office. Remote contracts would not be considered for this role

PURPOSE OF JOB:

The Fundraising Associate is responsible for the delivery of activity against the fundraising strategy for schools, youth and community audiences and the wider Fundraising Team. The role will work across organisational campaigns, including Red Nose Day, Sport Relief and other year-round activity.   

Key responsibilities:

  • Work with colleagues to support the delivery of agreed fundraising campaigns and initiatives, including supporting the project management and production of specific assets; setting up campaigns in order to support tracking of performance and dealing with administration related to the successful delivery of team objectives.

  • Provide exceptional relationship management of supporters, including monitoring and stewarding fundraisers on external digital platforms (i.e. JustGiving and Facebook) to maximise income and engagement.  

  • Identify inspiring fundraising stories from supporter audiences that can be used in fundraising materials and editorial. Collect and document these stories, including photos and consents, and act as internal point of contact for sharing stories for use across teams.    

  • Work with the Supporter Services team, providing support with enquiries and complaints, ensuring responses are managed effectively and within the agreed timeframes.   

  • Work in support of the Director of Fundraising and Heads of teams on diary management; effective internal communications and delivery of ad hoc tasks  across the Fundraising Team 

  • Provide specific cross-team project support (approx. across the wider fundraising team as directed by manager, Heads of team or Fundraising Director

 

Person specification:

Essential criteria:

  • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal  

  • Experience of delivering excellent fundraiser (or customer) support 

  • Experience of coordinating multiple projects, with proven administration, organisational and time-management skills 

  • Strong attention to detail – to produce work, which is consistently accurate, and which fits the purpose for which it was intended 

  • Ability to work autonomously to meet deadlines 

  • A positive, proactive and solution orientated approach 

Desirable criteria:

  • Experience of supporting the delivery of fundraising activities and campaigns  

  • Experience of online/social media community management
