Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to work with the Disability team at the ECB and provide Physiotherapy services to allocated Disability squads, across the 12 months of the disability pathway.

YOU'LL BE DOING

·  Fulfilling the role of a chartered physiotherapist in the assessment, diagnosis and rehabilitation of all injuries – including keeping medical records in line with the ECB MRK policy.

·       To provide and assist with necessary emergency care, as per the requirements of the ECB S&M audit criteria.

·       Maintain communication with MSL to include but not limited to injury, illness and wellbeing ensuring alignment of services and duty of care.

·       It is essential to maintain the highest professional standards as a representative of the England and Wales Cricket Board.
·       Providing match day and training camp pitch side physiotherapy.

·       To communicate effectively with players and coaching team regarding injuries and player management, including end of tour reports.

·       To deliver MSK profiling of players as required, recording necessary data and communicating results with all player stake holders.

·       Work alongside S&C Coach to provide rehabilitation to injured players.

·       Provide player education sessions as required.

·       To maintain monitoring records as required by the programme.

·       To play an active role with the management team in providing pastoral care and observations of players.

·       To understand health and safety requirements of England teams as well as support members of the management team to carry our their health and safety including safeguarding and welfare duties.

YOU’LL HAVE

·       Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)

·       Current membership with the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists (CSP)

·       Current Advanced Trauma Management/Emergency Care accreditation (equivalent to the ECB Cricket Trauma Management Course)

·       Practical knowledge of injury rehabilitation and prevention training

·       Excellent communication skills

·        Undertake professional development to keep abreast of world’s best practice

·       Enhanced DBS Check

·       To maintain all legal and professional qualifications in relation to being a physiotherapist

YOU’LL RECEIVE

·       £200 day rate for all domestic matches, training and screening days.

·       There may be additional fees involved with touring / Marquee tournaments.

·       Trauma Management Training

Please note that:

1.   If successful, along with insurance and certificates associated with your role, we will require confirmation that you have appropriate business use insurance for your car, should you use it to drive to and from squad weekends and matches.

2.     You will be able to claim for out of pocket expenses for lunches upto £12.00 per lunch (No alcohol to be claimed as expenses). You may also claim 40p per mile when driving your own personal vehicle.

3.     During this contract, there will be no Friday Night stays unless agreed with the Disability Operations Manager. If a Friday night stay is agreed, then there will be no reimbursement for any expenses incurred.
