Job Description

PURPOSE

To provide high quality Physiotherapy support to England Women’s Cricket. This role will require extensive UK based and international travel. The nature of the role necessitates working irregular hours in line with the requirements of the England Women’s team.

YOU’LL LOVE THIS JOB IF

YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Delivering high quality physiotherapy and rehabilitation support to England centrally contracted players (and pathway players as required) under the direction of the National Lead for Physiotherapy.

  • To support the delivery of the strategy for player availability under the direction of the National Lead for Physiotherapy and the clinical lead (lead physician).

  • To support the delivery of specific performance projects and initiatives across physiotherapy and science and medicine in collaboration with the National Lead for Physiotherapy and the Head of Science and Medicine.

  • To work collaboratively with the women’s professional domestic game and franchise teams to ensure joined up player care.

  • Collaborate with the England Women’s Team Doctors, Strength and Conditioning Coach and other MDT members, to ensure injury prevention and rehabilitation programmes are designed and delivered as effectively as possible.

  • To contribute to a culture of working within the Science and Medicine team that is inclusive, joined up and encourages high levels of effective team working and communication.

  • Work closely with the Strength and Conditioning team to support the delivery of effective processes regarding workload planning and management. 

  • To support the wellbeing team in identification and delivery of any wellbeing matters

 

YOU’LL HAVE

  • Extensive experience of working in professional team sport, preferably within Cricket.

  • A track record of excellent team working attributes including high levels of communication.

  • Significant understanding of the needs of elite professional cricketers.

  • High-quality physiotherapy treatment and rehabilitation skills.

  • Effective diagnostic/clinical decision-making skills.

  • Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists (CSP).

  • Current Advanced Trauma Management and Emergency Care accreditation.

  • High standards of personal and professional integrity.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.

  • Full Driver’s license.
