Where do we start? Well, we’ve been on one heck of a journey. From our early days with just 1 glorious mattress-in-a-box to our name to now offering 6 sublimely comfy (and, ahem, award-winning) mattresses and a whole host of top-notch sleep goodies, we’ve come a long way since 2015. And we couldn’t do it without our team of cracking individuals who make the magic happen every single day.

Not only that, but they’re the driving force behind our mission to champion sleep wellness. ‘What’s that?’ we hear you cry. Well, we think everyone deserves to feel outrageously well slept. So much so that they wake up dancing every single day. And we want to help them get there.

the opportunity

We are looking to hire a Data Analyst to join our Commercial Team. As a Data Analyst, you will report to our Head of Data and be part of a wider team of 5. 

Our decisions are data-driven, and access to accurate and timely insights is critical to our success. This means your role is key to our data infrastructure’s maintenance and development.

As a Data Analyst, you will support several teams and our senior management, maintaining BI reporting and dashboard and ad-hoc analysis.

the day to day

• Own all aspects of our data analytics technology stack: Big Query, FiveTran, and PowerBI. 

• Maintaining data connectors and scheduled jobs, making efficiency improvements and identifying gaps in workflows.

• Build and maintain a suite of analytical dashboard and reports covering most areas of the business.

• Maintain high quality in the data as a single source of truth by ensuring complete, consistent, coherent, and available data.

• Use analytical and statistical techniques to provide in-depth, timely and comprehensive insights. 

Including:

•  customer segmentation

•  website journey optimisation

•  analysis of the product range

• promotion analysis

• Build relationships and collaborate with other teams to understand their data needs and the support they may need. 

• Provide bespoke datasets, automate reports or help reduce manual work, provide advice and training on how analytical tools help enhance other teams’ needs and track team goals.

• Coordinate and prioritise multiple work streams across various parts of the business.

what we’re looking for 

• A background in querying data using SQL, preferably Big Query.

• Exposure to building and maintaining BI reports and dashboards, preferably Power BI.

• Topnotch time management skills to manage several work streams across the business.

• Preferably some experience or knowledge of working in an eCommerce business.

• Ideally, some knowledge of forecasting in either Python or R.

• As a Data Analyst, you’ll need a laser focus eye for detail.

• You’re a pro at using your initiative, have a can-do attitude and always want to learn and grow.

• As a self-starter, you have a contagious spirit to help us build the best brand we can. You’ll also be highly collaborative and welcome working closely with the rest of the business.

• We care and respect each other, and we look for those who do the same whilst building and maintaining relationships with others.
