Job Description

PURPOSE 

Do you want to play a key role in creating value and engagement for our circa 5,000 community clubs and circa 400 leagues?   

The purpose of this role is to manage the continued development and implementation of our two engagement programmes to support our ambition of creating a network of thriving recreational clubs and leagues. You will have operational responsibility for the delivery of annual club affiliation, manage the process to accredit clubs against our new Club Development Framework, and develop a new league affiliation offer.

YOU’LL BE DOING 

  • Acting as operational lead for our club affiliation and accreditation processes, providing support to the Cricket Board network to increase engagement and optimise impact. 

  • Implement our league engagement strategy and develop a league affiliation offer to encourage closer relationships between ECB, Cricket Boards and recreational leagues. 

  • Monitor ECB Accredited Premier Leagues, providing data and insight to proactively support compliance and continue to drive standards. 

  • Develop a compelling affiliated club and league offer with a view to expanding our reach throughout the recreational cricket community. 

  • Support the development of ECB’s digital platforms to provide a high quality experience and simplify administrative processes associated with affiliation and accreditation. 

  • To develop tools, processes and resources that engage and support organisational development across our wide-ranging clubs and leagues across England and Wales.   

  • Manage on all insight and data pertaining to clubs and leagues, capturing and analysing this to inform strategic and operational planning. 

  • Work collaboratively across ECB, and the county cricket network to embed affiliation and accreditation into programmes and services, ensuring participants feel part of the governing body. 

  • Monitor compliance of ECB Premier Leagues in relation to funding and accreditation. 

 

YOU’LL HAVE 

  • A desire to lead on quality and standards through developing, implementing, and embedding a programme to attain affiliation and accreditation. 

  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of membership bodies and a proven record in the development of membership offers to add value and drive engagement.  

  • Excellent organisational skills, with experience in end-to-end project management and proven track record of delivering results. 

  • Experience of creating frameworks, policies, and processes to support the development of governance to provide safe and inclusive participation opportunities.  

  • Ability to inform and influence various partners from club officials to senior executives, to ensure engagement with our club and league affiliation and accreditation offer.. 

  • Experience of data capture, monitoring, and analysis to inform performance management and decision making. 

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to listen, understand and act on information accordingly. 

  • A contagious passion for cricket or recreational sport and a strong desire to add real value to recreational clubs and leagues.
