Job Description
Job Role Title: Facilities Marketing Lead, maternity cover, 1 year contract
Start Date: April 2024
We are seeking a maternity cover for a Marketing Lead position working with our technical facilities department.
The Satellite Applications Catapult is a growing, innovative organisation at the forefront of the burgeoning UK Space Industry. We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate marketing lead to join our busy team. In this role, you'll oversee marketing and communications activities for our facilities across the UK and our capabilities at Westcott Venture Park.
Supported by the marketing manager, you'll take charge of marketing and communications strategies for our facilities. You will be developing marketing and communications plans to support the work of the Catapult, ensuring that they are delivered on time and on budget, and reporting on their impact. These plans will cover a variety of marketing activity including digital marketing, PR, blogs, case studies, events and content production relating to our physical capabilities. Our facilities are specifically designed for companies withing the UK Space Sector and are aimed to provide businesses with the innovation boost they are unlikely to find elsewhere. They boast cutting-edge equipment available for short and long-term hire, alongside access to our technical and business experts for guidance.
Key Responsibilities:
Be the main point of contact in the marketing team for our facilities marketing
Create material to support the facilities, from publishing articles, case studies to video content and all the things in-between
Engaging with internal and external stakeholders to understand and meet business objectives and goals
Bring together marketing objectives and materials to create solutions that will address these goals and challenges, deciding on the appropriate tools and solutions
Working closely with the Technical Facilities team and Facility Owners to validate the suggested solutions and ensure effective delivery
Work from Westcott location 1-2 days a week and on/or ad-hoc basis when required
Skills & Experience required:
Demonstrable experience of planning, delivering and reporting on marketing activity
Excellent writing skills for blogs, case studies and other online and offline content
Experience of working in multiple stakeholder environments
Excellent communicator, equally comfortable communicating with senior executives to communities that are impacted by our projects
Comfortable working in a complex and fast paced environment
Willingness to work well in a team and across organisations, collaboratively partnering with other business departments
Experience of social media delivery and in the use of online marketing tools such as email marketing systems and website CMS (Wordpress an advantage)
Experience of facility or buildings marketing as well as the above is advantageous
