Job Description

Your impact and contribution

We’re entering a new stage of growth and are seeking a highly capable self-starter to drive and lead marketing initiatives across both the B2B and B2C sides of our business model.

You’ll tailor and execute marketing strategies for our unique B2B2C distribution model (Flexischools > schools and suppliers > parent community) to achieve our business goals of brand advocacy and scalable growth.

This is a newly created position, so you can expect to experiment with different channels and tactics to create awareness and generate high-quality demand for; and utilisation of the Flexischools product.

You’ll forge meaningful and productive relationships with key internal teams (sales, customer support, product and finance) to understand the needs and nuances of our customer segments and develop programs to reduce customer churn and increase advocacy.

You’ll also have the opportunity to influence brand strategy, marketing operations, tooling and tech and shape product propositions that deliver outstanding value for our customers.

Your responsibilities

  • Develop and execute go-to-market activities and growth experiments: Create and implement data-driven marketing strategies aimed at increasing brand and product awareness and ultimately driving acquisition of new schools and suppliers.

  • Channel ownership and optimisation: Own, maintain and optimise the Flexischools website as a primary conversion channel – including SEO, targeted landing pages etc. (you may have digital freelance or agency support to manage digital performance where required).

  • Content creation: Get hands-on and produce content to showcase the value of Flexischools (including: blog posts, whitepapers, case studies, testimonials, product demos etc.)

  • Lead nurture and onboarding campaigns: Create and manage multichannel marketing journeys to nurture leads, keep prospects informed, and drive conversions then efficiently and effectively onboard new Flexischools customers.

  • Lifecycle marketing and utilisation: Devise a fit for purpose comms program to promote new product features, services, and resources and deepen adoption and utilisation. Considering the school and supplier connection to and reach with parents.

  • Analytics and reporting: Use data and analytics tools to measure and optimise the performance of marketing campaigns, ensuring maximum ROI.

  • Collaboration: Refine operating rhythms and rituals to work closely with cross-functional teams including sales, support, and product, to align marketing efforts with overall business goals and ensure our sales and service teams are communicating brand and product messaging consistently.

Your skills, behaviours, and experience

  • Proven experience in B2B SaaS or Product marketing, with a strong preference for the education sector or similarly complex industries

  • Strong marketing generalist proficient in copy writing, content creation, email marketing and personalisation with a firm grasp of digital content principles including design, UX, CRO and activation

  • An understanding of experimentation methodologies, web analytics, tag management, tracking implementation and reporting – enough to hold an agency accountable and be comfortable with the odd hack here and there

  • Superior written and verbal communication skills, storytelling ability and deep customer empathy

  • Solid analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions

  • A passion for our problem space – you’ll understand the Australian school system and how heavy the mental load can be for parents and hold a genuine drive to want to make it better for the communities within it

  • An entrepreneurial spirit and a willingness to be hands-on - ideally, you’ve worked in or around startups or scaleups

  • Influential and confident project management, stakeholder management, and organisation skills, you’re used to juggling multiple competing priorities and pride yourself on delivering to tight timeframes

  • Highly collaborative with a growth mindset – demonstrating the flexibility to adjust and grow based on learnings, changes in strategy etc.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary and performance-based bonuses.

  • Flexible work schedule and options for remote work.

  • Professional development opportunities.

  • A collaborative and innovative work environment.

  • Innovation

  • Keeping it Simple

  • Passion

  • Accountability

  • Customer Focus & Teamwork
