The Cognition Company is looking to appoint a Research Associate with a focus on Data Science who would likely join the team while completing a PhD in a relevant field or undertaking post-doctoral research.

The successful candidate(s) will have an excellent knowledge of applied data science methods. Some examples of work you might be asked to support include: 

• Analysing a large dataset of hundreds of thousands of lines of data to see whether a particular technology product is associated with a particular outcome (e.g. making a purchase; or taking on a job). 

• Producing interesting and engaging data visualisations, using outputs from analysis undertaken.

• Running statistical tests and analyses on the data generated via experiments to determine what worked and what didn’t.

• Supporting the production of literature reviews, which explore what the research says about the potential impact of different behavioural interventions on user or customer behaviour.

Wherever possible we will try to align our projects with your research interests. We strongly encourage academic research and will support you in converting your work with us into academic publications.

You will report to the Director (Behavioural Decision-Making), but will work flexibly with everyone at The Cognition Company.
