Job Description
Purpose of job:
The Motion Graphics Editor will be a versatile all-rounder, with specific experience in editing for short form, digital, online and social channels. You will have first class motion graphics expertise and concise visual edits. The role will create content that people want to share on social media and that reflects the evolving brand and brand values of Comic Relief. You will work closely with the digital producers and the rest of the content team.
Key responsibilities:
Create visual content for a wide variety of online and social platforms.
Perform both video editing for narrative projects, and motion graphics.
Handle the post-production of a wide range of visual projects.
Bring fresh creative ideas to projects.
Quickly create designs and implement notes from producers and team leads.
Maintain several ongoing projects at once.
Work closely with other Comic Relief teams on design elements.
Create headers, infographics, type treatments, collages, and various other design projects.
Work with video producers to create intro graphics/ animations and other graphic elements.
Optimise, organise, and prepare files for the web.
Person Specification:
Essential criteria:
A good understanding of content for social platforms, preferably working with big brands on their digital online content.
Must be proficient in the Adobe Creative Cloud suite with a strong passion and knowledge of the following key programs: Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop.
Experience in creating content for online and social.
Experience within, and a clear understanding of, production is a plus.
Desire to experiment.
Ability to work independently on multiple projects under a tight deadline.
Sense of humour: love of comedy and memes and web comics and YouTube.
