Job Description

PURPOSE

To provide comprehensive administrative and project support to the Senior Manager Recreational and ACO. Working in collaboration with the Professional Umpires Administrator in order to achieve the department objectives.  Support the review and streamlining of current processes and the development of online solutions to increase efficiency and reduce complexity.

YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Supporting the Senior Recreational Manager with diary management, writing, collating and circulating reports as directed.

  • Arranging recreational officiating meetings, venues and any accommodation and communicate details as required.

  • Provide Administration support to Senior Manager Recreational and the wider Recreational Officiating team. Manage the collation of information, writing reports and supporting the delivery of the strategy to ensure targets are met.

  • Manage Recreational Umpire expenses ensuring that all expenses are authorised and comply with the business expense policy.

  • Support the review and streamlining of current processes and the development of online solutions to increase efficiency and reduce complexity. 

  • In partnership with the Education and Development Manager, manage the administration of Officiating education. Working closely with relevant ECB departments and County Cricket Boards/ County ACO’s.

  • Support the Workforce Manager with administration and the logistics of managing a volunteer workforce.

  • Coordinate a fit for purpose membership operation with the appropriate ECB departments, increasing efficiency and reducing complexity.

  • Oversee the grading process, ensuring it is completed annually.

  • Proactively support communications to all officials in the recreational game.

  • Collaborating with Professional Umpires Administrator supporting workload at all times

YOU’LL HAVE

Experience of:

  • Providing an efficient and effective administration service

  • Ability to organise and prioritise work

  • Sound attention to detail

  • Able to problem solve and work on own initiative

  • Able to communicate succinctly both verbally and in writing

  • Sound time management and able to multi-task

  • Works as part of a team

  • Proficient use of MS Office suite
