Job Description

Collins Learning has been publishing educational products for almost 200 years. Throughout this rich heritage we have maintained an impressive record in creating market-leading products across various sectors, in both print and digital.

In the Editorial Intern role, you will support the Product Development team by taking on a wide variety of admin and editorial tasks as required, ensuring the team is always fully up to date with the status of tasks taken on. The team works across primary, secondary and international educational publishing lists, you will support these teams across both print and digital, allowing you to gain insight of the publishing process through different mediums and across different markets.

We are looking for:

  • A clear interest in educational publishing

  • A strong interest in the educational market and its opportunities/challenges

  • A mature understanding of when to refer issues to colleagues

  • Clear and effective communication skills

  • Attention to detail

  • Excellent organisation and time management skills

Ideal candidates will be:

  • Confident using MS Word, Excel and Acrobat

  • Proactive in trouble-shooting and solving problems

  • Flexible – the ability to juggle a changing workload and prioritise

  • Creative - Making suggestions to improve processes/products
