Job Description

We’re in the business of telling stories, and we would love to hear yours!

If you are interested in applying for a learning placement within HarperCollins Publishers, you have come to the right place. We offer a range of opportunities to get exposure to both our business and the publishing industry across multiple departments namely editorial, branding, PR, marketing, sales, production, rights and contracts. Our recruitment system is a blind application platform which ensures fairness of opportunity. You can apply for a specific department at whatever time of the year suits you best.

Learning placements run up to 2 weeks and give you the chance to sit within one of our incredible departments, shadow team members and learn about what it takes to work in publishing. We want our learning placement candidates to come away with lots of exposure to support their career and gain valuable insight into how a publishing company runs.

All we need from you is a bit of detail on the division you are keen to complete your placement in and some information about you! If you are successful in securing a placement, a member of the People team will be in touch.

You must be over 18 years old to apply and have the right to work in the United Kingdom. HarperCollins offer a contribution toward travel expenses at £10 per day. Please note that due to high demand we have a limited number of placements, so if you can’t join us this time, please do get your application in again for the next intake in early summer 2020.

The Book Trade Charity offers financial support to people looking to enter the book trade but who may struggle to afford the costs of attending interviews and undertaking internships or learning placements. For more information visit www.booktradeentrysupport.org
