Job Description

Our Production Team are looking for a Production Assistant to work on the production of books for our Fiction division. It is a great opportunity for someone wanting to enter the world of book production in a forward-thinking and innovative company. This is a permanent position.
Key Responsibilities
Costing Reprints in our Purchasing System and checking accuracy before circulation
Placing backlist Fiction & HQ reprint titles according to the schedule required and ensuring bound stock dates are met
Process Print on Demand for both Fiction and HQ
Production of all book proofs for the Avon and Fiction Divisions
Assist the Production Manager(s) and other members of the team according to workload and departmental needs
Help with the upkeep of admin within the team
Ensure all titles are archived on our Digital Asset Management System, including PDF files, application files and images maintaining strict version control
Experience and Skills Required
Strong communication skills, oral and written
Good computer skills, Word, Excel, Data bases
Good numeric and organisational skills
Being both diligent and accurate
Excellent attention to detail
Coping well under pressure and meeting deadlines
