Job Description

PURPOSE

Reporting into the Head of Youth Strategy in the Recreational Game Department at The England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB), this role is pivotal to helping ensure that cricket becomes the most inclusive team sport in England and Wales. Accessible playing opportunities in schools across England & Wales have increased significantly in recent years with expanding provision delivered in partnership with the Lord’s Taverners and Chance to Shine. This role is predominantly responsible for schools’ delivery across England & Wales, focusing on state schools and SEND/ALN schools. 

This role requires a combined skill set of Strategic oversight, relationship engagement and management, and operational efficiency. This role also includes line management responsibility for the School’s & Relationships Manager.

YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Working collaboratively with ECB’s internal teams to optimise our work in key strategic projects, including Competitions and Coaching. 

  • Leading the operational delivery of school provision across England & Wales, working with County Cricket Boards and Foundations. 

  • Leading relationships with charity and delivery partners in the youth landscape, for example Chance to Shine and the Lord’s Taverners. 

YOU’LL HAVE

  • A passion for working inclusively to add value to the lives of young people through cricket 

  • Strong relationship management skills  

  • The ability to efficiently prioritise the time and resource of yourself and your line report, aligned to the broader strategic objectives of the department and organisation. 

  • Ability to collaborate with, and influence internal and external stakeholders. 

  • The ability to summarise and communicate information effectively for different audiences. 

  • This role requires a valid DBS check
