Job Description

PURPOSE

This exciting role will help deliver our capital investment programme within the recreational game, providing expert support to the network and stakeholders to create and execute facilities strategies.

YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Providing supportive oversight to the County Network to plan and manage small scale grant programmes and develop facilities strategies that will create welcoming environments, transform the game for women and girls and tackle the challenge o climate change. 

  • Providing technical expertise to the cricket network, including facility design and business planning, to ensure sustainable investment

  • Working with key partners, including Local Authorities, in identified urban areas to create facility developments at scale and tackle inequalities in access and suply

  • Supporting our agreement with Sport England on Planning issues including statutory consultations and Playing Pitch Strategies

  •  Case work on strategically identified projects to progress from concept to delivery

  • Working collaboratively to ensure joined up investment with the professional game (on Outground projects and similar pathway opportunities)

  • Supporting the delivery of campaigns and programmes to create a sustainable cricket network

YOU’LL HAVE

  • The ability to take an objective and strategic view of plans

  • Experience in project management and an eye for detail enabling you to work accurately and efficiently

  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to work in one-to-one and one-to-many situations with a wide range of people from volunteers to senior management

  • Excellent time management

  • The ability to negotiate and manage customer expectations

  • The ability to use digital systems and tools

  • Good working knowledge of:

o   Facilities development

o   Health and safety

o   Business planning

o   The planning system and Sport England policy

o   Sustainability

o   Accessibility

o   Recreational cricket network

o   Local Authorities
