Job Description

PURPOSE

This exciting role in the ECB Events Department will encompass a wide-ranging remit coordinating the ECB’s day to day broadcast operational requirements.

The successful candidate will work closely the Senior Broadcast and Media Operations Manager and with a range of internal and external stakeholders to deliver the highest possible standards in Broadcast Operations and event delivery.

YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Working closely with the Senior Broadcast Manager to build and maintain strong relationships with our key broadcast partners through regular meetings, communication and planning.

  • Assisting in coordinating the logistics at all venues of compounds, camera gantries, hoists and any other broadcast requirements.

  • Coordinating the planning and delivery of designated stakeholder visits and meetings (e.g. Broadcast site visits), facilitating venue access and facility provision in conjunction with internal Functional Areas and venues.

  • Working with the Senior Broadcast & Media Operations Manager to help provide all operational needs and facilities as part of a successful event delivery team.

  • Development and ownership of key documentation to support the smooth delivery of cricket.

  • Frequent travel required as part of your broadcast operation role at ECB Major Matches, as well as pre-season site visits and venue meetings

  • Provide administrative assistance the Senior Broadcast and Media Operations Manager as required.

YOU’LL HAVE

  • Demonstrable substantial experience in operational delivery of sporting events. Cricket knowledge is a distinct advantage

  • Exceptional communication skills, liaising with a variety of stakeholders at all levels of the business, with a focus on achieving contractual and operational efficiencies.

  • A focus on maintaining effective stakeholder relationships.

  • Experience working within large-scale events or broadcasts within a fixed timeframe and high-pressure environment.

  • A strong attention to detail in the preparation of planning documents and communication.

  • A Team player approach to be resourceful and possess the ability to demonstrate initiative; still seeking advice or support when required.

  • A proven ability to work with efficiency, flexibility, and good humour; understanding the ever-changing events and broadcast environment which will include unsociable hours and weekend work.
