Job Description
Purpose of the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to lead a high-functioning Global Consumer Insights Team in one of the largest global publishers. The role requires providing strategic direction to a team of 9 researchers based across the UK & US, consulting on complex and multi-market quantitative and consumer trends studies, co-ordinating the most senior stakeholders as well as resource and budget management.
Role has dual reporting to CEO Intl Foreign Lang & CDO and Group Digital & Technology Director
Roles and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
Be a strategic thinker with a strong background in quantitative research methodologies and ideally with experience of qualitative / trends / ethnographic research
Be responsible for leading a global team of experienced multi-disciplinary researchers, maintaining a culture of collaboration
Support the team in maintaining strong relationships with senior stakeholders, ensuring alignment on research objectives and findings
Oversee qualitative/quantitative and trends research initiatives, across different markets, in line with budgets
Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership and key stakeholders in a clear and compelling manner
Experience
Extensive experience working in a head of / director role at a research agency or client side
10+ years working in consumer research
Proven experience in managing teams and working with diverse stakeholders across different regions
Ideally experience of research in the media/communications space
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels
Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
A passion for understanding consumer behavior and driving strategic decision-making
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
