Job Description

PURPOSE

This is an exciting role within the ECB Events Department supporting the Head of Safety and Security in the planning and delivery of international, The Hundred and domestic matches. You will also be working with the First Class Counties supporting them in maintaining standards of for crowd safety and crowd behaviour. You will be working with multiple stakeholders both within the ECB, first class counties and external partners.

YOU’LL LOVE THIS JOB IF

YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Supporting the Head of Safety and Security in delivering all ECB safety and security strategies. 

  • Working with the wider ECB Events Team to support the delivery of high-profile matches.

  • Act as the ECBs Safety and Security representative on site at high profile matches

  • Supporting teams (England teams, touring teams, domestic teams) in matters relating to safety and security. 

  • Liaising with Venue Safety Officers to implement ECB’s safety & security plans. 

  • Delivering the planning and operational delivery of security plans for ECB major matches, The Hundred and Men’s and Women’s Internationals.

  • Supporting venues in the provision of all safety and security matters for security, crowd management and counter terrorism plans

  • Supporting the implementation of the ECB anti-discrimination code by international venues. 

  • Monitoring the implementation of safety and security measures at ECB events including adherence with local and national legislation.   

YOU’LL HAVE

  • A working knowledge of all aspects of crime, safety and security threats and a proven ability to deal with them appropriately and sensitively.

  • Previous experience of working in either a sporting or security environment with proven ability to deliver projects within fixed timeframes.

  • A good working knowledge of safety and security issues in an elite sports environment

  • Excellent communication and administration skills and a proven record of working with multiple stakeholders.

  • A proven ability to work with efficiency, flexibility, and good humour; understanding the ever-changing events environment which will include unsociable hours. 

  • Full driving licence and ability to travel nationally.
