Job Description
PURPOSE
To provide on the ground operational, logistical and administrative support to the England U19 Men’s squad during their overseas tour to South Africa.
The individual will need to foster excellent working relationships with players and staff, and they will be responsible for ensuring the best possible environment is maintained in order to enhance the team’s chance of success.
The successful candidate will need to be a confident with exceptional organising and prioritising skills and a keen eye for detail. They will be adept at problem solving and conflict resolution, will have the ability to remain calm under pressure and will always demonstrate tact and diplomacy. A positive ‘can-do’ attitude and a commitment to excellence is a must.
SERIES OVERVIEW
England Men’s U19 Team will travel to South Africa to play South Africa U19 in three ODI’s and 2 x four-day U19 Test Matches.
Flying out on 9th January and returning on 8th February.
Prior to this, there is a two-day Training Camp at Loughborough on 2nd and 3rd January.

YOU’LL BE DOING
Fulfilling the operational, logistical and administrative tasks of the England U19 Men’s squad. It is not possible to provide an exclusive list of such tasks, but by way of example they will include:
· Planning, actioning and delivering the day-to-day detail of Tour schedule with the associated activities in conjunction with the England U19 Head Coach, other England U19 support staff and the Host Board.
· Clearly communicating all necessary information to players and staff during the tour.
· The management of all on-tour travel and accommodation arrangements.
· Liaising with overseas ground authorities at all match and practice venues to ensure all team requirements are addressed.
· To manage tour finances and keep a record of all expenditure. Settle all hotel bills due for additional personnel on tour – to cover any additional room, laundry and charges for the Management.
· Act as Safeguarding Lead for the team, and alongside the England U19 Head Coach and England U19 Security Manager, ensure that a safe environment is created for the players.
· Liaise with the England Kit executive on the distribution of kit pre-tour and any replacement kit that needs sending out to the team. Make sure we have numbered caps for any players that may make their debut.
· Attend regular meetings as required with team management, actioning any requirements.
· Attend to media requests as agreed by team management.
· Assist in the reasonable organisation of leisure time activities for players e.g. golfing, sight-seeing.
· Liaise with the match referee and officials as and when required.
· Supporting all staff members in order that they can carry out their roles most effectively
YOU’LL HAVE
· A enhanced DBS check and good knowledge and experience of key safeguarding practices (prior experience of working with adolescents would be advantageous).
· A proven ability to be able to communicate clearly and effectively – both in writing and orally.
· Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
· Experience in working with teams, and preferably in International Sport.
· Rigorous attention to detail and strong IT skills
· A team player and collaborative approach to the achievement of the teams objectives.
· Discretion in handling sensitive issues and confidential information.
· Ability to work autonomously and confidently make decisions and solve complex issues on the spot.
· Able to demonstrate sensitivity, calmness and is politically, culturally, socially and religiously aware.
· Strong understanding of venues operations and logistics.
· Flexible to work in changing environments where requirements change at very short notice.
· Knowledge of cricket would be useful.
