Job Description
Introduction to the role
We are looking for an experienced Software Developer to join our Growth and Analytics team, playing a critical role in the implementation of new projects in the ever-changing Publishing industry and the competitive UK market. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to use and develop their coding skills while learning about technology, marketing and strategy in a young, innovative and dynamic environment amongst big players such as Amazon, Google or Apple.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a top multinational company, a leader in the Publishing industry with worldwide presence. The position will give the opportunity to grow as a professional by joining a dynamic and fast-growing team within one of the largest companies in a consolidated group.
Core Responsibilities:
Work alongside analysts to maintain projects and develop new ones
Monitor systems and promptly resolve any issues
Review and improve the stability of existing and future projects
Identify new opportunities and areas of growth based on new technology and business needs
Produce production-level code with appropriate testing, redundancies and error handling
Utilise the latest technologies in the AI/ML space to build cutting edge tools
Skills and Experience required:
Person Specification
Professional python experience
At least one web framework – Flask, FastAPI, Django, etc
Data manipulation with Pandas / numpy
Database design and best practices
Proven experience taking a greenfield project through a full development lifecycle
Organised and thoughtful approach to your projects
Able to manage your own time effectively to meet deadlines
Strong coding skills and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Confidence to take ownership of your projects
Must be comfortable on MacOS and Linux (Ubuntu VMs)
Excellent teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams
Strong critical thinking skills and ability to work through issues independently.
Salary - Up to £50,000 dependent on experience.
