Job Description

Purpose of this Role

Strategically lead and manage a world leading women’s and girls’ performance pathway across cricket that affords every player the opportunity to excel. The EW Head of Performance Pathways will play a key role in ensuring all those engaged in the pathway experience a highly effective learning and development environment that creates positive, lifelong moments and memories.

With a clear direction to develop an inclusive and diverse pathway for players, coaches and support staff the role will play a fundamental part in ensuring the success of England Women’s cricket on the international stage.

 YOU’LL LOVE THIS JOB IF

  • You are passionate about championing the women's and girl's game to influence continued positive change

  • You have a track record overseeing programmes that prepare and expose players to tournament and international cricket

YOU'LL BE DOING

  • Work closely with the Director, EW Cricket and EW Leadership Team to develop and lead the delivery of the performance plan for the EW Performance Pathway

  • Lead and manage a team of performance staff to provide world leading development opportunities for players and to ensure a broad group of players are ready to excel for the England Women’s cricket team

  • Work closely with the Director, EW Cricket to establish an effective insight-based selection process for the EW ’A’ and EW U19 programmes

  • Manage the process of identifying talent across the EW Pathway to ensure the right players for England Women’s programmes are being identified and developed

  • Lead a collaborative development planning process for EW ’A’ and EW U19 players

  • Play a pivotal role in developing a progressive and inclusive performance culture across the EW pathway

  • Work collaboratively with the Regional Structure Head Coaches to ensure the short, medium and long-term needs of future England Women’s players are catered for

  • Work closely with the ECB Coach Development department to provide high quality learning and development opportunities for Coaches in the Women’s Regional Structure

YOU'LL HAVE

Knowledge

  •  An in-depth of understanding of high performing environments within cricket

  • An expert in developing pathways and a broad understanding of evidenced based development environments

  • An understanding of the multi-disciplinary functions required to develop world leading development environments

  • An in-depth knowledge of women’s domestic and international cricket

Experience

  • Proven track record of creating environments that ensure positive impact across different stages of a player’s journey

  • Experience of engaging multiple stakeholders through a clearly articulated performance strategy

  • Proven track record of leading, managing and developing people within a performance pathway

  • Working within a high performing environment within women’s team sport

 

Skills 

  • An outstanding communicator with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders

  • Ability to facilitate complex discussions that deliver impactful outcomes

  • Ability to manage a workforce with diverse skill sets and areas of expertise
