Job Description

PURPOSE

The England women’s programme consists of our senior team, performance programme and U19 squad. The programme involves a substantial amount of training and competitive series’ overseas.

We are welcoming expressions of interest from doctors to cover overseas tours, working alongside the Doctor team and the rest of the Science and Medicine team. You will play a key role in optimising availability, managing injuries and illness and ensuring world class medical support for our international pathway.

YOU’LL LOVE THIS JOB IF

YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Overseas touring

  • Delivering high quality medical support in order to optimise player performance, availability, and wellbeing

  • To be a key member of the England Women’s support team and Science and Medicine team

  • Interacting with coaches, players, and other support staff members

  • Maintaining and contributing to ensuring strong governance.

YOU’LL HAVE

  • Current registration with General Medical Council (GMC) with right to practice independently

  • Ideally on the specialist register for Sport and Exercise Medicine (SEM) or Post graduate qualification in SEM with considerable SEM experience

  • Current Advanced Life Support and Emergency Care accreditation

  • Experience of working in Professional team sports

  • Strong collaboration and Communication skills

  • Desirable: qualification and experience in musculoskeletal ultrasound

  • Full right to work in the UK - sponsorship ot available for this consultancy
