Job Description

Our Sales Operations team are looking for a Sales Operations Executive to assist with maintaining the appropriate level of stock for physical titles. This is a busy position and would suit someone with some previous publishing or inventory experience, excellent data analysis and Excel skills, and good commercial awareness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain stock availability through daily stock and sales data analysis and liaising with sales teams

  • Suggest appropriate reprint quantities and create reprint meeting agendas

  • Liaise with the production department on costings for weekly sign off meetings

  • Deal with queries business wide regarding customer orders and stock availability.

  • Act as a key link between various areas in the business, in particular between distribution, home and export sales and commercial finance

  • Identify overstocks and run excess stock meetings

Experience and Skills Required

  • Knowledge of stock management processes and sales operations

  • Commercially aware, with good numerical and analytical skills

  • Confident in data manipulation within Excel

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to develop productive working relationships with relevant stakeholders

  • Excellent organisational skills with high attention to detail

  • Ability to learn new processes and systems

  • A self-confident individual who works well under pressure

Desirable

  • An understanding of sales operations within a bookselling or publishing environment

  • Experience of working with Amazon
